Clayton

Well Clayton is not progresing like we would hope. The Docs are moving him in to the Nicu now they say that is a more long term stay kind of place. They now think that he may have a problem with the muscle that releaces things from his stomach. If he does that will be another surgery. Thats all we know for now.

Justin

Yes Justin is still Cute. He came to visit Clayton in the hospital on thursdayMostly he just likes to play in the waiting room.

New Clayton news and pics.

Sorry it's been so long sence I'v updated this. This is Clayton as of last week. Tomarrow he is going in for his fourth surgery. He had to have a third to put in a new line for his meds and for nutrition. it had to be surgicaly placed in his leg runing up to his hart. tomarrow the docs are going in to stich his diaphram down so he can breath. as of now it is not leting his one lung fill up with air. He will not be coming home for Christmas. At this point the docs are hoping that he will be able to be out of the PICU and into a normal room of his own by Christmas. Keep praying for him and we will keep you posted.

Clay boys colostomy

Clayton went in for surgery on Monday instead of Wednesday. The surgeon had an opening and was able to get him in right then. All went well. Clayton now has a bag hanging on his belly that allows him to have bauel movements. The docs think that they will have his breathing tube out today or tomorrow. They also think that he will be able to eat by Thursday or Friday. This sounds good to us. We are hoping that this means it will only be a fiew weeks before he can come home. (wish-full thinking) HE is looking good as far as his physical features go. The Chromosome test came back and all is normal that way as far as they can tell. So life goes on, we get bad news and good news and we just take it all in stride.

Surgery

Sorry it has taken me so long to update this blog. Clayton's surgery went well. he is now recovering and is looking a lot better. Sorry no new pics. Stacy is staying down there with him during the week then coming home to be with Justin and I. I will be back down there for his next surgery witch should be next Wed or Thurs. That one is for his large intestine. They will be putting a bag on his side for it to dump into, until a later date. As of today he is doing well, they have removed all but one I V, they have removed two of the drainage lines that were in his chest cavity and they have reduced the amount of air they are giving him. He is breathing on his own more than the breathes of air they are giving him witch is a good thing. Oh they also took out the catheter that they had in to measure his urine.

Clayton's Surgery

His Surgery is set for about 2 in the afternoon. they are going in from the front of his chest so they will have to split his chest open. The surgery will last about 1/2 an hour to an hour then with all of the prep and such it will all take about 2-3 houres. Please keep him in your prayers.

WE finaly got to hold Clayton. Stacy got to hold him on friday and I did on saturday.

Clayton

Clayton is now almost a week old and allready going to have his first surgery. it is set for tuesday aome time. He will be haveing open hart surgery to fix a narrowing in his Aorta. We are praying for that to go well . HE had some fluid on his lungs this morning so the docs put him on some meds that made him pee it out. that seams to be working as of this evening. He had an MRI today but we are still waiting to hear from the surgeons on how they are going to go about his surgery. Stacy will be calling me to let me know what they decided. They determind that he will have to have a surgery on his collen at some point before he comes home, then again after he is a bit older to put everything back were it belongs.

Stacy Releaced

Releaced!!!! She is glad to no longer be admitted. However we still dont get to go home yet. Clayton's surgery is still tenitivly se for monday or tusday. Not sure were we are staying tonight but plan on going home Saturday night unless Clayton changes something, we would likt to be home for Justin on sunday. From what we hear he has been doing good at his cousins but realy misses his mommy and daddy.

Clayton Blaine

Well we still dont know that much. It looks like his surgery will be schedguled for Mon or Tues. Stacy will still be released as of Friday morning.

Clayton Blaine Egley

Clayton Blaine Egley was borne on Wed Nov, 19, 2008 at 3:39. He weighed 7lbs 8oz. He is now under supervision in the Pediatric I. C. U. He has a fiew mis formed valves in his hart, one blood vesile that is narower than it should be and is slowing the flow to his body. He will be undergoing surgery within a matter of days. We hope it will be sooner rather than later. but it could be as far off as Monday. For now Stacy is in recovery and I have a cot by her bed. If any one wants updates they can call one of our mom's. They are being updated regularly as we are. Stacy should be released as of Friday. the wires and tubes in the pics are just for monitering and to input medication as well as nutrition. Clayton will not be allowed to eat untill the blood flow to the body problem is addresed and fixed, untill then he will be fed intravieneasly. (through the tubes). Baby News

Well as of now we are going to be at the University of Ut hospital on wednesday at 7:00 am. Were they are going to start Stacy into Labor. Hopefully all will go well. if not we will be staying there as long as needed. we will be up dating this blog with all new info as we get it, providing we have internet service.
